Texture Mappings
The environment that surrounds our everyday flow through a city, goes beyond the shapes cut by buildings, train stations and streets though the urban format. This study is trying to look beyond this by investigating the textures and materiality of the urban sprawl surrounding Rosa Luxembourg Platz. Constructed through an abstracted collage of the surfaces of buildings, footpaths and green space, this study aims to map the diversity of the tactile environment surrounding the platz.
