please check out the tutorial times for this friday here: tutorial-june-26 Could everyone please come 15 minutes before their time. ALSO, we ask everyone to come to the tutorial, as we also want to discuss the different modes for the final presentation. That means, that we expect that also the groups which present at the colloquium on thursday will come on friday. see you all than!

don’t forget that from 3.00-4.00 is the final theory discussion group, recommended to all.

UI Berlin : Colloquium

The Australian research group Urban Interior, based at RMIT University Melbourne, together with the Architecture Design Innovation Program (ADIP) at TU Berlin holds a Colloquium on Thursday, June 25. The colloquium takes place in the Kubus (by Volksbuehne) on Rosa Luxemburg Platz. The Kubus is a temporary public interior with an open space program, and is designed by the stage set designer Bert Neumann, from Volksbuehne Berlin. Three members of the research group, Suzie Attiwill, Mick Douglas and Rochus Urban Hinkel present their recent projects. Out of a number of external guests, Dr Hélène Frichot (RMIT), Alex Schweder (Artist) and Mathias Heyden (TU Berlin) give a presentation about their current research. In addition RMIT interior design students present their ‘occupation’ project, led by Suzie Attiwill, and ADIP students present some projects out of the Urban Occupation design studio at the TU Berlin, led by Rochus Urban Hinkel and Dr Hélène Frichot.

For most of you this won’t be in its detail not be relevant anymore, as you have moved on since than; but of course the basic and fundamental points of the critique might still be helpfull.

here is the tutorial list for this thursday! tutorials will be held in the studio space on level 2. everyone should be able to come; especially if you are unsure about what you are doing. in case you can’t come, please let me know by email by wednesday. please bring everything you need to talk about your project, make also sure that you have uploaded all your research, precedent, occupation files on the blog. make sure you can tell the ’story’ of your project, what is it what you are doing and what do you hope to achieve, also: how will you achieve this and what do you need to design therefor.
