Volksbuehne Kubus Occupation

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

here the facebook link to the event, and see caitlin’s description: o we need to all aim to join the group and add as many people as possible. TO FIND THE PAGE; It is listed at a public event under Volksbühne Kubus Occupation. Alternatively, you can add me Caitlin Mills-Sheehy and then on my profile it says i’m attending that event so you can join it that way. ultimately we all need to join and say we are attending and then invite our friends etc so we can get it to spread like wildfire!

Everyone is needed

Monday, May 25th, 2009

friday a week ago the group decided to organize an event in the kubus on june 1st; last friday we discussed it again and people agreed to be part of specific working groups. it can’t be that one agrees to be part of one working group but than doesn’t show up! i really expect that everyone does his part towards the success of june 1st. it is really important that everyone contributes as much as necessary.

if the scope of the event seems to big for everyone, than let’s just have a public viewing of the documentation and some fun time in the KUBUS, BUT nevertheless that needs some serious preparations and can’t be an stupid ’slide the dvd in and have a warm beer’ meeting.

here is the password protected pdf with all contact details of everyone in the class

Kubus in Action - Headphone Event

Monday, May 18th, 2009

On Friday we decided to do another ‘action’ on Rosa-Luxemburg Platz, this time using the ‘Kubus’ by Volksbuehne as a venue. We will show the documentation movies of the ‘urban occupation : action’. We will use all digital medias to advertise the event, from email and facebook to another other platform we come across. The whole event is in that sense a test run. What crowd can we generate by using those platforms / networks. Concerning the sound to the movies Markus Nielsen und Ramona Reiser have enquired further, they say the radio ‘gig’ will not be possible, but we could be ‘creative’, whatever that means. Currently the idea is, that we organize a headphone party.
Please start thinking about the issues we discussed, like title, image image, text text text…
